Lexus RX 2010

And I thought Porsche Cayenne is one sexy ride, but Lexus RX 350/LF-Xh  of year 2010 blew me away. The exterior design is sleek, fierce, and simply futuristic. I also got a peek of the interior design, reminds me of the Lexus from the movie "Minority Report". Let's just hope the maneuver of the car meets our expectation. Some basic specs of this 2010 beauty:

+ 3.5L V6 engine, remains the same as the old RX, but pumping out an extra 5hp to 275hp and 6lb-ft of torque
+ the wheelbase has been extended
+ overall vehicle length and width has been increased and the height bumped up significantly
+ 18" wheels are now standard
+ a new sport-tuned suspension will be available as an option

The biggest difference between the old and new is the increase in hight and weight! Definitely weight, the chassis of the older models are just way too light. If the car isn't loaded with passengers or with goods, it is better not to drive above 70mph. Anyways, there is no need to drive fast with a SUV. However, at times when driving on the highway, it is easy to reach a speed of 70mph and you can feel the car waver. Another concern is the car's turning radius. I have driven bigger SUVs with better turning radius so technically speaking, size shouldn't be an issue when making U-turns or drastic turns.

I've never seen a black matchstick leg combined with face prints on the head of the stick... pure genius!

BoA entering America

BoA

The song which BoA (a korean pop-star) will be utilizing to enter the American market "Eat You Up" has a catchy beat. Indeed, she is an awesome dancer. The choreography in this MV totally shows she can move, but I don't know about the song portraying her vocal skills. Her producer needs to work on that part, totally need to show the audience she can sing. Even though I don't follow her as an artist, I still wish her the best of luck. We shall see how the market reacts and hope she makes it big, not only in America but internationally.

Top Five Confession

We are always searching for the best, but there are time we cannot help but turn back and stick with the original. Why? Two reasons: you cannot find someone else to replace and "the natives" have always have a special place within your heart. The following are five men that are beyond special to me; either knowing them personally or not. No one can supersede their throne, at least until this day. And in no particular order, here we go...

No.5 K
Resembles my first Asian crush whom I met during summer of 2000. His smile and face have forever imprinted in my memory and every time I see this singer, a smile just surface on my face.

No.4 Kim Sung Soo
Come'n, it's Kim Sung Soo: fine fine fine. The first time I saw him in this korean drama, he captured all my senses. Physically, at least for me, he's just way beyond fine. Manly and sexy!

No.3 Jang Dong Gun
The epitome of a hot korean actor. He got it all: reputation, sexiness, manliness, height, charisma, etc., Who can have the heart to reject him?

No.2 Cookie
Haven't seen or met any dog more handsome than Mr. Cookie. When he was alive, he was the king of the dog. Got the wit, looks, and built. R.I.P. little brother. You will always be the best dog ever!

No.1 Mr. Anonymous
Finally someone I know! He's just the ideal boy. Met him when I was in high school and we are still friends. Both of us have been single since the day we met "crazy I know". The more I try to swim-away and look for other fishes, explore the ocean, he always re-appear in my mind. I feel everything is like a circle, always going back to the beginning.

Is China Credible?

I've never been this exasperated with a country. Thanks to the People of Republic of China, a country where human rights, moralities, and food products are questioned, I finally learned what is called real callous acts. Kudos to their wrongly acts, countries are both recalling and banning their food products and categorizing the "Asian Face" as unethical.  Inevitably, countries are susceptible to mistakes and people do forgive and accept apologies. However, when a string of non-stop insensitive incidents follow like dominoes fall, I do start to question and doubt that country's reliability. Let's not bother going back to 2007 and just start with 2008... first the Tibet incident, then all the fake promises with the Olympic game, and recently the tainted baby formula and milk. Are the Chinese government and business men a bunch of immoral, mendacious charlatan? Because of desperateness for bringing name and fame to one's own country or earning some extra buck, is it necessary to put thousands or maybe millions of  lives in danger?

No doubt, there is no integrity in those Chinese business men and their egregious government. They even dare to victimize babies for their own profit. Do they know how to define sinful and atrocious? Maybe they should look at themselves in the mirror and get the accurate definition.  True, other countries have done acts to be penalized for, but not to this extent. Watching or reading daily news and always having the name China brought up for uncalled behavior is truly preposterous. Time for them to make a check-list for the good deeds they have done.

By the way, I still find it unbelievable how many Chinese citizens defend and support their government after all these outrageous measures. China's conduct is beyond deplorable and there are still Chinese people accusing the non-Chinese consumers with questions like "who told you to purchase products from China? who told you to be stingy and buy cheap stuffs made in China?" just shows me how people can be SHAMELESS!

"Such callous indifference to the human consequences of their additional profit-seeking is just as heinous as any multiple murder." Opinions and Comments section of CNN from Mario G.

Audi A4 2009

The perfect combination for performance & luxury. Audi A4 2009 got it all. I would never consider Audi as my future car if it wasn't for this awesome driving experience. The new technology Audi has executed on their new A4 is simply outstanding. Literally makes me repeat "wow" endlessly. As for those Mercedes-Benz fans who consider their C class vehicles as top notch, definitely a big no no. Do not know what's all the commotion for Mercedes is about; seriously overrated. Overall, if considering for an AWD vehicle, definitely have the A4 2009 as a choice. It won't disappoint you.

Mr. Koji Kondo

Who says video games cannot be a type of art? Koji Kondo, the man behind all Super Mario scores or better said, most Nintendo's video games music, is wicked amazing! I am totally infatuated with Super Mario Galaxy's (Wii) soundtrack. Beautifully composed... it shows the diversity of orchestration and our endless creativity. The followings are: a video during a recording session of one of the tracks and my favorite track from the game.

Screen.Shots

Who doesn't love MAC? I'm totally in love with my MacBook Pro, which has been with me through thick and thin for one year and a half. For those who are still using Windows... it's time for a change! Why? Just because MAC rocks. It just does. Moreover, I know couple of my friends who used to be Windows users, they are all switching to MAC for their oh-so-wonderful graduate school experience. Yea, I should receive a commission from Apple for speaking so well of their products. I guess Steve Jobs is after all a bit stingy and does not want to lessen his funds to raise the number of his very black only turtleneck collection. Thank you very much :D  teheeee. Screen captures of my current desktops. Enjoy!

We Are Back!

After one year of separation, The Girls are finally back and reunited in the city of Boston, MA. Wonderful weekend, great laughs and overall,  great time! The cameras were working non stop to capture great moments and truthfully, blinding for my eyes. First stop of the night, dinner was served at the well-known seafood restaurant, Legal Seafoods. Second stop of the night was visiting Venu, a nightclub/lounge/bar where everyone danced and drank the night away; well, at least that is what I did. :P Next day, it was a relaxing, beautiful summer day in Boston so we decided to visit a farm where everyone had home-made ice-cream and battled in the water: bumper boats!
Final point, we will be back! Who knows when, but we will see you soon :D  For now, Hasta La Vista Baby.

Another Apple Product

I can feel this weekend is going to be hectic, but at the same time excited?  I hope I won't be too tired. I guess I'm becoming more indolent and nonchalant about issues that are not career or family related. Sounding like a pessimist, but there are always priorities I need to focus on. However, glad to know my former two years suite-mate from college is visiting from Thailand tomorrow. It should be some catching-up and good times.

While visiting the mall today, came across from a crowd of people who are waiting to purchase the newest Apple product, iPhone 3G. However, I read from a credible online source saying that Apple is encountering some activation problem with their new gadget. Apparently, customers used to activate their own phones at home (which speeds-up the process), but with some unknown reasons to me, Apple or the phone carrier is activating all the phones this time. Unfortunately, today the company is encountering some server problems related to iTunes, which is bringing longer line and longer wait for the entire process. On the brighter side, I'm glad Apple lowered the price for this edition of iPhone. It seems like the company does not know how much to charge for their phones. Just look at the mess they had with their last edition. I wonder how many customers got enraged with that last incident.

Video Games

I remember the very first video game that I put my hands on was Street Fighters II by Capcom. I used to stay at my family friend's place the entire afternoon of a weekend or at times after school just to be able to play that violent, fighting game. Couple of years later, my dad got my sister and I our very first Game Boy. I cannot even remember how many games cassettes we got for our console. It did however, involved games with the amazing, round-pink creature called Kirby; of course, no one can leave-out Super Mario Land and Tetris.

Two weeks ago, my sister and I finally got our Wii Console! Excitement - Excitement - Excitement! We have been aiming on that machine since the day it came out in the market, but due to its availability and price, we decided to postpone our purchase. Finally, after a year of patient wait, the gracious white Wii is sitting next to our elegant T.V., shining and smiling with an amazing grace. What a beautiful lady :) So, the games. I really like the sports games that came with the console. My favorites have to be tennis, baseball, and bowling. Never thought Wii games can make my arm muscles sore and rigid. Definitely an upper-body work-out! Yesterday, my sister and I bought two other new games: Rayman 2 and Super Mario Galaxy. Who would have thought crazy rabbits wanna-be would be so entertaining and can bring new joy to my life. On the other hand, Mario is always great! Impeccably great! Also, I really enjoyed Rayman 1, borrowed from friends. 100% Amusement Guaranteed.

Quick Thought
I'm craving for some Mexican Wedding Cakes. No silly, it's not a real cake, but shortbread-like cookies that will melt in your mouth.

Heat Stroke || First Post

Incredibly hot and sticky; or should I say an unbearable weather. What a typical summer in the state of MA. Some rain would be nice, but not those torrential downpours accompanied with thunderstorms. All I am wishing for is a couple of drops to freshen up the atmosphere and bring some coolness to the area. I just don't appreciate the feeling of having to take many cold showers per day and still suffering from the heat once you walk out of the bathroom.

It is currently 5 A.M. and yes, a night owl is still awake. Somehow I don't feel as sleepy as I should, but definitely going to bed after my first post. This is my first official blog and I'm excited! I've failed many times on keeping one, but this time I'm determined. Probably because I like the template and I just have more to say and share. Anyways, enough said for today and here I come Mr. Bed! Good night or even better, good morning everyone :)
